Luxor means in Arabic as “The Palaces” and during ancient times used to be known as “The city of Hundred Doors”, Luxor located at the south of Upper Egypt. It is considered by many to be the globe’s greatest open-air museum for the fact that on an area on 417 SQ km (161 SQ Miles) lies some of the most majestic temples such as the Valley of the king, the Karnak temple, Queen Hatshepsut temple, Luxor temple that holds some of the most extraordinary ruins and artifacts. Luxor was considered to be a very important city in Egypt old kingdom and the capital of Egypt during the New Kingdom. The city has millions of visitors from all over the world to witness this incredible wonder and has the third of the world monuments.
Our program:
The program will start with pick up from your hotel at 5:00 AM, Luxor tour is exciting and full – guided tour and we will move about 350 km (4 hours) in a comfortable and air – conditioned vehicle to Luxor.
Explore the Karnak temple complex which is a heavily treasure, filled with sanctuaries, kiosks and obelisks dedicated to the god of ancient Thebes.
After you visit the temple of Karnak, you will have your lunch and break in a restaurant, and then you will board a felucca boat to the west bank to explore the royal dead city. In the heart of a mountain is the Valley of the Kings and Queens and marvelous royal tombs.
You will continue your tour and visit the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut, which is considered to be a masterpiece of ancient of architecture.
Finally you will visit the Colossi of Memnon , the twin statues of pharaoh Amenhotep the third, and then you will head back to Hurghada.
